The Ministry of Social Development He Poutama Taitamariki Champion (Youth Employee of the Year) nominees will be aged between 18 and 24 years old, have overcome adversity and are now thriving in employment.

This award focuses on the young person’s achievement in demonstrating excellence in their work, having made an outstanding contribution to their organisation, while also recognising the role of the employer in creating conditions for success and sustainability.

Nomination criteria:

Nominees must reside and be employed within the Northland region (Kaipara, Whangārei, Mid-North and Far North areas)

  • Nominees must have been in sustained employment for at least 12 months
  • The nominee inspires others to achieve and has made a significant life change as a result of sustained employment.
  • Submit a photo of the nominee

Nominees must be aged between 18 and 24 years of age on 1 July 2020.

Nominations close: Friday 18th September 2020
